2.1 Major Update


Hello all!

We have decided to really move forward with this project. We're a small group trying to do a fun, cool, arcade-style horror space-shooter based on the original draft from the Scapes Jam 2021. We have not lost momentum on this project and in fact, unlike previous titles we have done for jams, actually gained momentum.

This will be the first of hopefully many major updates along the way. Previously we worked on procedural map generation and basic enemy behavior, as well as a ton of scaffolding work for our data structures to support multiple ships, pilots, special abilities and missions. We have introduced smarter monsters using path-finding and a pretty robust state machine for them. Additionally we added the first pickup, which is a health pickup, which doubles as a shield recharger. We also added shields by the way. Anyways, let us know what you think, builds will continue to be uploaded as get near some kind of alpha or beta - we're still figuring that out.

Soon we should start seeing a real game flow where you purchase items and upgrade your equipment, as well as select and complete multiple levels with different styles and goals.
